Spectre Mods

People who enjoy shooting Nerf guns will appreciate the Nerf Spectre. The Spectre is another fine product in the long, established history of the Nerf Company. Hand-crafted with kids in mind, the Spectre offers key features that make it an irresistible gun. Outside of the sensational 5-shot, rotation barrel, the Spectre also carries a folding stock, which is able to hold more darts, and easy loading barrels. The Spectre can't be the king of the playground on its own, so you may need to make a few improvements using the following modifications.

The Nerf Spectre can be easily customized by going into the turret barrel and removing the air restriction. Removing the air restriction is a common theme amongst Nerf gun modifications, because it is simple to do and produces profound results. To remove the air restriction from the Spectre, you just slide the orange cap off of the back of the barrel, and then you remove the air restrictions. They aren't glued in, so you'll have no trouble getting them out. Cut up a piece of a big straw and glue the pieces of the straw into the holes of the turret. This maximized airflow to and from the turret, so the darts will fly further. Reassemble your Spectre and you have an awesome Nerf shooting machine in your hands. The darts will fly faster and longer distances.

Another easy way to give the Spectre an upgrade is to remove the air restrictions entirely. You won't get to use any straws or the leftover air restrictions. After unscrewing the screws to open the gun, simply take the claw part of a hammer, pull out the turret, unscrew the 5 turret screws, remove the fat, round orange pieces and throw them away. Then, you'll need to use pliers to cut the tops off of the air restriction. Place the tops back in the turret, put the gun back together and you have another upgrade to the Spectre. This particular modification will increase not only the velocity and with which the Spectre shoots, but it will also increase the speed at which the dart leaves the gun.

The Nerf Spectre is a great gun to modify. It's very easy to perform either one of these adjustments, and your gun will have a noticeable improvement either way. You'll notice the ability to hit target further away and cause more impact on the items or people you hit with the darts.
