Sharp Shot Mods
You could be a sharpshooter in no time with your Nerf Sharp Shot. The Sharp Shot is one of Nerf's most creative toy gun inventions, and they have taken their creativity to a whole new level with this gun. You'll enjoy the belt clips, which allow for fast loading, the whistling tag darts, the compact design that allows for great mobility during a game of Nerf tag, and air-powered shooting. The Sharp Shot is a pretty good gun in its own right, but a few adjustments can make it one of the best Nerf guns out there.
You'll want to take apart the gun and take out the plunger and barrel system. The barrel has a small hole that you should put glue or epoxy on in order to seal. Cut the small pieces of plastic in the middle of the barrel and take the rest out using a screwdriver. After you covered the hole in the barrel, you can then place Teflon tape beneath the rubber ring in order to have a tighter seal. You can also take out the old spring and replace it with a spring that stretches further. This allows the darts to gain more momentum as the toy gun is fired and pushes the dart out of the gun. If you want, you can also place a few nickels behind the spring. This will give the spring less give, and you'll be able to load and shoot more effectively, as well as shoot longer distances.
The above modification is an all-inclusive one that will make the Sharp Shot a lot more effective. Unfortunately, no other mods are available, but no other mods would be useful anyway after completing the one listed here. In addition to a huge increase in range, velocity, accuracy and practicality, the Sharp Shot will also become more durable using this method. By reinforcing the barrel inside the gun and making the spring tighter, you will ensure that the gun will be less prone to breaking due to the stress that normally gets placed on them from normal use.
The Nerf Sharp Shot is an impressive gun with a lot of interesting features and abilities. The mod listed above gives you the ability to squeeze every ounce of potential out of it, and it will definitely perform a lot better after the modification is done. The Nerf Sharp Shot is a great example of the growing technology that Nerf has been working with.
