The customization of Nerf guns is now in the hands of the children thanks to the Nerf Recon. Never before has such a high-quality, build it yourself gun been released from the Nerf Company. Several key features make the Recon a truly unique Nerf weapon, including five interchangeable parts that allow someone to make the gun their way, a tactical rail that gives the shooter a leg up on the competition, a flip-up sight for precise aims, a laser light for pinpoint accuracy and a stabilizing shoulder stock that also holds an extra clip.

The Nerf Recon is a great gun no matter what, but it can be tweaked to perform at an even higher level. Once you remove the screws, you can then slide out the back black piece, and the spring should become visible. Drill a hole through the wall of the barrel, seal the small hole on the side of the barrel with glue or epoxy, take the spring off of the armed bar near the back of the gun, and then stretch that spring until it is longer than it originally was. Once you've done all that, you're ready to put the gun back together and enjoy some spectacular Nerf shooting. This method can increase the distance that your Recon can shoot, as well as the force with which the darts project out of the gun.

Another simple method to perform in order to release the potential of your Nerf Recon is to take off all 14 screws just like the first method. Once the screws are off, you then proceed to take out the assembled bolt sled. You have to remove the metal pin that holds the bold to the bolt sled. You then need a pipe-cutter to cut the air restriction pipe. The air restriction will fall out of the middle when you cut the pipe in the middle. Some super glue and a few hours of time will allow you to reassemble the pipe and then put the entire gun back together. This method will also grant you more range and more shooting power.

The Nerf Recon is an exceptional gun with numerous cool features that few other guns could gloat about. With some easy adjustments, your improved Nerf Recon will put most other Nerf guns to shame very quickly and easily. Be cautious with the pipe cutter, however, because cutting in the wrong spot can ruin the gun. The first method is simpler than the second.
