Nerf Jolt Modifications

The most common Nerf Jolt modifications are 1) Air Restrictor Removal, 2) Spring Replacement and 3) Adding a Better Metal Barrel. The tools needed for these mods are the Phillips Screwdriver, hammer and needlenose pliers.

Although removing the air restrictor is a common Nerf modification, it doesn't increase the range as much as on other models. First, remove the four screws at the bottom of the handle. Remove the plunger. The air restrictor spring is located at the back of the barrel of the gun and can be reached through the handle. Use a hook to take out the spring. Remove the air restrictor with the needlenose pliers.

The Nerf Jolt has a very powerful spring, but adding an even better spring can increase the range. Make sure the spring has the same size as the plunger.

Adding a superior barrel to replace the plastic with metal provides even more power. Some have also replaced the "O" ring for more range. This is a popular toy gun, with these modifications it can pack an even more powerful punch in a small package.
