Crossfire Mods
The Nerf Crossfire is an impressive dart gun that fires Nerf-style darts. The stealthy dart gun easily hits rangers of 35 to 40 feet, which is a very impressive range for such a small gun. It is small enough and compact enough to take on any adventure and for any play meeting. You could keep Nerf Crossfire in your backpack or even inside of a heavy coast, loaded and ready to go. Sometimes, however, the normal Nerf Crossfire gets boring, and it's time to spice things up a bit. There are a few different modifications you can perform on the Nerf Crossfire to make it into an even more amazing gun.
One of the easiest and most effective ways of modifying Nerf Crossfire is to make it shoot further distances. You can increase the effective range of the Crossfire by doing this simple modification. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws, which will allow you to take the gun apart. Then, you have to take the orange barrel out, drill a hole in the back of the gun and put three or four pennies behind the spring. If performed correctly, this modification can increase the range of your Nerf Crossfire by up to 25 percent.
Another easy way to modify Nerf Crossfire is to remove the barrel restriction that comes with the gun and in its place; you put a more durable type of barrel. These new barrels are usually made out of brass. All you have to do is get a piece of brass about 17/32" and sand it down until it fits snugly into the barrel. This method is easier to do than the previous one, but since you have to find a piece of brass to fit in the barrel, you may be better off with the first option if you would like to modify your Nerf Crossfire. If you can, however, find the brass to do this mod, you'll find that your range increases even more. There have been some reports of Crossfires hitting targets 60 feet away with this mod.
The Nerf Crossfire can be modified in a few different ways. Depending on your technical savvy and your ability to find what you need to undertake the job, you can choose one way or the other. Either modification will give you a superior Nerf Crossfire to the one you originally took right out of the box it was purchased in.
